What is it?
When a tooth develops a cavity, the decayed part is carefully removed and the tooth is restored with a filling. Composite fillings are matched to your tooth colour, while amalgam (silver) fillings are strong and long-lasting for back teeth. Fissure sealants are a thin protective plastic layer applied to the deep grooves of children's molars to stop decay before it starts.

Aftercare
Avoid chewing on the treated tooth until the numbness wears off (about 2 hours). The filling is fully set before you leave.
